Is my windshield free if I have insurance?

If you have a Florida insurance policy with full coverage, including comprehensive or glass coverage, your policy deductible will be waived for windshield replacement. For auto glass other than the windshield, your deductible will apply. Your insurance company is required to waive your deductible following Florida Statute 627.7288, which states:

“Comprehensive coverage deductible not to apply to motor vehicle glass. The deductible provisions of any policy of motor vehicle insurance, delivered or issued in this state by an authorized insurer, providing comprehensive coverage or combined additional coverage shall not apply to damage to the windshield of any motor vehicle covered under such policy.”

Can you come to me or do I have to bring my car into the shop?

Should I contact my insurance company first to schedule?

No. Contact Allied Auto Glass first. We will make it easy for you. We are a preferred auto glass company.

We work directly with your insurance company to file the claim and process the paperwork. This is one of the many ways we make auto glass replacement easy. We save you time and aggravation.

What is the warranty on new auto glass?

Allied Auto Glass warrants that your windshield be free of defects in materials due to workmanship for as long as you own your vehicle. Stress breaks, leaks or other defects in the glass are warranted for 90 days.

Is it safe to drive with a cracked windshield?

If the crack isn’t near your line of sight, it can be safe temporarily. However, you never know when a crack can expand, so it’s best to get it taken care of as soon as possible.

How long does the windshield replacement take?

We offer 4 hour windows, two a day. Our technicians will call 30 minutes prior to arrival. We use the highest grade of urethane so it dries within 30- 45 minutes after the technician is finished and then can by driven.
